THERE IT IS. THE END OF THE ‘GIF’ WAR.
EVERYONE GO HOME NOW
I love you Zedrin
Most ppl dont care what the creator says is right if it changes the was they’re used to. humans hate change, so it’ll continue for a long-ass time
The ‘G’ stands for ‘Graphic’ not ‘Giraffe-ic’ so I don’t give a fuck what he says.
My animated image is not a fucking delicious peanut butter company
As per usual, the correct audible shorthand notation for abbreviations is pronounced differently from what the beginning syllables start with (i.e. jaypeg for JPG or jiff for GIF). If people kept the mindset of pronouncing GIF as “giff”, then those same people would have to pronounce JPG as “Jopig” instead of “Jaypeg” and they’d have to pronounce SQL as “Squeal” instead of “Sequel”, which would be just plain silly.
i thought you did a giveaway for the sburb one? and you still arn't allowed to sell it just because you avoid using the word 'homestuck'. you can give it away or trade it for something that isnt money. if it was more vague, colors or astrology symbols that cant be trademarked its one thing but thats a logo that doesn't exist outside of the comic. they are very firm on only commissions of 2d media being sold.
I completed the giveaway, but neither of the winners responded within the time frames, so I just decided to keep it for further use. And yes, they are firm on that, I will agree; however, this is not a commission, and as far as legality goes, only a court can decide what is factually violating copyright.
Don’t get me wrong—I’m all for trades and other stuff of interest, but I grow tired of people attempting to lecture me on the legal aspect of selling these types of things, especially with the vagueness of the U.S. copyright law and what is/isn’t a derivative work (which, again, only a court can rule absolutely on).
I really do appreciate it if you’re looking out for my best interest, but it just gets tiring when I feel as though I have to explain myself each and every time anything ever comes up about this piece. =/
I’d totally sell it to Hussie or trade for some sicknasty WP merch, but I’m pretty sure that’s a long shot.
didn't you get in some legal shit for trying to sell the sburb glasspiece last time??
I almost did, but I cleared it up with Hussie’s team and I decided not to sell it. I’m not selling this as a Homestuck piece, I’m selling it as a crafty thing that’s taking up space and needs to go.
STAINED GLASS PIECES FOR SALE!~
I’ve finally decided to do away with both of these. The Bold and Brash piece is going to be a bittersweet parting, but I can’t wait to get rid of this Sburb piece.
The Sburb piece isn’t framed in zinc or lead and has very tiny hoops (in my defense, this was one of my first pieces ever), which means that it’d be inadvisable to hang in a window since it’s most likely heavier than what the hoops could support in the long term.
The Bold and Brash piece is perfect in each and every way because Squidward.
If any of you are interested or know anyone who’d be interested, definitely contact me ASAP over at deviantArt (since Tumblr doesn’t have a spectacular PM’ing feature). These things are taking up valuable space that I could be using to make more glass. >:C
"My body, my choice" only makes sense when someone else’s life isn’t at stake.
Fun fact: If my younger sister was in a car accident and desperately needed a blood transfusion to live, and I was the only person on Earth who could donate blood to save her, and even though donating blood is a relatively easy, safe, and quick procedure no one can force me to give blood. Yes, even to save the life of a fully grown person, it would be ILLEGAL to FORCE me to donate blood if I didn’t want to.
See, we have this concept called “bodily autonomy.” It’s this….cultural notion that a person’s control over their own body is above all important and must not be infringed upon.
Like, we can’t even take LIFE SAVING organs from CORPSES unless the person whose corpse it is gave consent before their death. Even corpses get bodily autonomy.
To tell people that they MUST sacrifice their bodily autonomy for 9 months against their will in an incredibly expensive, invasive, difficult process to save what YOU view as another human life (a debatable claim in the early stages of pregnancy when the VAST majority of abortions are performed) is desperately unethical. You can’t even ask people to sacrifice bodily autonomy to give up organs they aren’t using anymore after they have died.
You’re asking people who can become pregnant to accept less bodily autonomy than we grant to dead bodies.
^^ALL OF THIS.
Gilda is done! I am really proud of this plush, especially since it was my first time making a gryphon. She wasn’t as difficult as I feared, but the work that I put into it was quite extensive. I’m also happy that I finally have a pattern so I can make others for commission at some point.
This is a handmade, OOAK, special Fluttershy plush just in time for the holiday season! She is 15 inches tall from head to hoof, 12 inches long from front to back legs, fully machine and hand embroidered, made with minky fabric, semi-poseable and “floppy” due to the weighted pellets in her hooves, and comes with a Christmas hat with a bell on the end as well as two red booties which are all removable.Fluttershy is for sale here on eBay! Please signal boost and feel free to ask any questions you may have. Thanks!
Some more plush work for sale! I’m really proud of this one C:
